College and Career Fair: Drop by Battle Ground High School anytime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to learn about apprenticeship programs, trade schools, military branches and colleges. Free and open to the public.
Board of directors regular and special meetings: The regular meeting will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the special meeting/work session at 7 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public at the Lewisville Campus and viewable via livestreaming. Get the details.
Wednesday, March 11
One-hour late start for most schools: Teachers will use this time to work together to implement best practices of high-quality instruction. Students will be released at the usual times.
Budget cut listening session: The session is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Prairie High School. It is open to the public and child care will be available.
Friday, March 13
Closure makeup day: Most BGPS schools will be in session to make up for the closure of schools on Dec. 17. The makeup day does not apply to students at CAM Academy, the Futures program or special education preschools. Students in those schools and programs will not attend on March 13; however, staff at those schools and programs should still report to work. Any additional weather-related closures will require more changes to the calendar.
Now available: Tools for you to provide your input on budget cuts
Through March 18, there are two ways for people to provide input on budget cuts:
Budget simulation tool: Adjust costs to balance the budget for next school year. Tip: Review the information on the welcome screen to learn how to use the tool.
ThoughtExchange survey: Participants can provide their ideas and rate their agreement with ideas shared by others.
In addition, there is one more budget listening session on March 11 that is open to the public (see information above). Get more information about budget cuts for the upcoming school year.

We are grateful for these staff members and the important work that they do to support students, schools and the community.
