ABOUT CASEE

Our vision is to inspire a culture of awareness and stewardship in the world.

Battle Ground Public Schools’ half-day STEM program offers high school students an integrated curriculum in Science and English on an 80-acre outdoor learning lab.

Courses include Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Forestry, Wildlife, Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, Agricultural and Industrial Biotechnology and four years of high school English.

Students attend classes at the Center for Agriculture, Science, and Environmental Education on a 3-hour block schedule Monday-Friday before or after attending their home high school for a half day to round out their studies.

What do current CASEE students think of the program? For students who enjoy getting outdoors, working with their hands, learning about science, math, agriculture and more, and being part of a positive and engaging environment, the CASEE program may be just the place. This half-day STEM program

How to Apply to CASEE

1. Complete and submit the 2023-2024 New Student Application. Please note that the application is only available online.
2. Submit two “best work” samples (one from English & one from Science). Please send to CASEE Program Facilitator Margaret Bessert at bessert.margaret@battlegroundps.org.

3. Once you’ve submitted the form and sent your work samples, you’re all set!

What happens next?

Once we have your completed application form and work samples, CASEE staff will then send your Science and English teachers a recommendation form. These teacher forms, along with your completed application, will then be submitted to our staff for review. Notifications of acceptance will be sent within four weeks of staff review, which should be around the end of May.
