COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR CASEE STUDENTS

Each semester, CASEE students are expected to perform several hours of community service, 7.5 hours or more off campus and 15 hours on campus per semester. On-campus work takes place several Fridays a month for an average of 1.5 hours in work groups comprised of students from all grade levels working on a different project every week. Students learn a variety of skills including landscape design and maintenance, plant propagation, greenhouse operations, organic gardening, construction, trail maintenance, environmental education and much more. This aspect of the program gives students an opportunity to develop the work skills they will need later in life and helps maintain the CASEE campus.
